GA for AMX Alarm Management Release 9, from June 1, 2010

AMX Alarm Management release 9 is ready to take off with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 from June 1, 2010. This new release offers:

  • Integration OpenCom, including functionalities offered through the CI interface
  • Integration Avaya Communication Manager (ACM), including SIP User system features
  • Enhanced System Management functionality

Interoperability with Avaya Communication Manager tested successfully

ATT- AudioText Telecom announces that the interoperability testing on May 4, 2010, with Avaya Communication Manager (ACM, Rel.5.2), was completed successfully. Following features are available for the AMX Alarm Management solution:

  • Access through BRI (T0), PRI (T2) and SIP/RTP
  • Tested Extensions were wired IP 9650C, Dect standalone Dect D3, WIFI 3645 and IP DECT 3711
  • All extensions will display a message length of 15 characters (14 with SIP)
  • Overriding deviation is possible
  • For busy extensions the message will be shown on the display
  • Opening loudspeaker (wired & wireless)

ATT expands Swisscom’s alert and mobilization service "eAlarm"

Swisscom recently began marketing a Web-based alert and mobilization service called eAlarm. At the push of a button, this web application mobilizes personnel within a few minutes using all common communication networks, without needing its own infrastructure, operation or maintenance.
Since the successful marketing of the AMX Alarm Management Server under the name ARGUS almost 7 years ago, Swisscom has now decided on an additional ATT product, eCollect. eCollect expands the eAlarm application with the automated monitoring of the existing technical infrastructure. In addition to manual mobilization, this allows all events relevant to the security of a company to be communicated to the responsible personnel using the eAlarm application. This utilzation of synergies simplifies the operational process and increases the efficiency of the alarm organization.

Imtech first business partner in The Netherlands

Imtech is a significant provider of technical services to the marine, telecoms, process, utilities and building services industries across Europe. Imtech offers end-to-end solutions for fixed and mobile communication networks. They also implement projects on behalf of system suppliers. These include everything from large-scale, complex turn-key assignments, to smaller more specialist projects.

ATT convinced Imtech with the universal applicable and nevertheless optimally customised product AMX within the area of alarm management solutions. With immediate effect we realize together turnkey solutions for alerting purposes, with a highly developed integration into the existing PBX and IT infrastructure. The first AMX integration by Imtech was well done together with a HiPath 3000 from Siemens within the utilities industry

GfK System GmbH is a reliable solution provider on the continuously changing IT & Telecommunications market. AMX 8.2 now in release

The new software version 8.2 for the AMX alarm server was released for sale on March 1, 2009. This is an interim release with new features for GSM positioning and WLAN communication.

  • Integration of the globally renowned, WLAN-based ekahau localization solution.
  • Localization of people in emergency situations using the GSM positioning solution from the Swiss system integrator AidComm AG, based in Cham, Switzerland

Advantages for the customer:

  • Keeps costs down: quickly tracks down mobile medical and other technical devices using WLAN tagging and automated messaging in case of unauthorized movement.
  • Patient safety: the WLAN badge tracks down patients with dementia the moment they leave their assigned zone; an emergency alert can also be issued by pulling a ripcord.
  • Independence of existing telephony infrastructure when developing man-down applications with the new in-house localization solution, based on wireless, autonomous GSM transmitters.

Strong Alarm Management solution with Nortel thanks to ATT’s AMX

In addition to joining the Nortel Open Developer Group in 2007 and having its AMX Alarm Management Server CS1000 certified in January 2008, since August 2008 ATT has been accredited as a Nortel Developer Partner with the AMX product.

Key customers can now profit from new alarm features.
  • Various special ring tones underscore the priority of an alarm
  • Call forwarding is ignored and the alarm signal is always received by the original destination
  • Subscribers on an in-house call are disconnected, so that the targeted subject can always be reached
  • Mixed IP/TDM environments are supported

Siemens HiPath product line successfully recertified

As a Siemens Advanced Technology Partner, ATT has successfully recertified the HiPath 3800 V7 and the HiPath 4000 V4.

ATT has successfully completed the qualification process A2P2, which guarantees the unlimited interoperability with NeXspan and the new Aastra 5000, an innovative IP-based communications server for up to 150,000 subscribers.
